Rooftop Chartreuse is an instrumental side project of Pillowfish, featuring original music played on 10 string bouzouki and 5 string viola.
Between them, the duo have studied traditional folk music from the US to the Balkans, via the British Isles, Scandinavia and France. Their compositions combine influences from these traditions with a love of Baroque counterpoint, odd time signatures, and harmonies that verge on the dissonant.
